π Wellness Wednesday π
It's Wednesday - Wellness Wednesday we like to call it these days. Wednesdays are not just about hump day - but instead it's a day to be mindful and remember to check in with self.
In a nutshell, Wellness Wednesday around these parts consists of any of these tips on any given day or Wednesday.Β
Affirmations: a great way to speak love, light and life into your mind, body as well as over your health as a whole.Β
Intentional exercises: Walking. Slow stretching movements geared towards current tension areas at the time of practice. Bedtime yoga is great too - any time you need to relax your body.Β
Breath work: Meditation (your way, focus on your breathing) - π§π½ββοΈ
Dance: put on your favorite tunes and move your fine ahh body - ππΎ
Rest: sometimes our mind and body needs rest. Close your eyes, sleep well. Allow your body to recharge - ππ½
Journal: thoughts, ideas, memories, mind chatter, etc - π
Candlelight Bath: light your Lavender & Sage candle - hot water, bubbles, herbs, flowers, wine or fruit infused water, instrumental jazz - ππ½
Water visit: sitting near water streams, river, lake, ocean -π§
Get your hands dirty: Gardening or Re-potting plants - πͺ΄Β
Read: grab that book you've been meaning to finish or start - π
Wellness Wednesday should mainly consist of a mid week pick me up. Anything you can do to give yourself a lil extra TLC (tender, love, care) - mind and body. Or just do something that excites you and add a little more happiness to your life or day even. Something that calms and nurture your spirit.Β
Remember taking care of yourself shouldn't be limited to any particular day or days. It should be a daily habit to check in with yourself at the very least >> ask yourself >> Hey self how are you? Ask yourself what you can do for yourself to make your own day better.
We're not waiting on someone else to do it. You taking care of yourself = Wellness Wednesday.Β
